Long story short, I've been finding these comics scrolled up in green
bottles for a few years now. When I was younger, images would pop
into my head, images like these. I didn't think much of
them. I'd never at the time been exposed to the comic
section. I didn't know Gary Larson, Pogo, or anything of the
sort. Eventually I tried to capture what I saw in my head, the
speech bubbles, the captions, the awkward images, everything I could
funnel out of my pencil. Some of these efforts can be found at
the bottom of the page. A few years ago, these and others like
them started finding me via bodies water. Lake, river, pond, even
rain gutter, it didn't matter, I'd hear the familiar soft scraping of
the green bottles rubbing against stone or sand. Every time, I'd
find drawings inside them. At first I tried taking photographs of
the panels, but they were always over exposed. Now I copy them on
a light table before they turn to dust. I color them to the best
of my ability, but it's hard to match the glory of the originals.
I've grouped them into tribes of 25
below. Click on the HD&P Comic Strips, Inc. links to

This here is going to be a new section I'm opening up. I'll call
it the section of Shawn Lindseth's past work. Here we shall find
my past syndicate submissions, or strips I've run in different college
newspapers. Once everything is up, it will never update, save for
the possible new additions of future syndicate submissions. Stick
to the green bottles up there if you want to see the most current
features I'm claiming in the name of my resume.
